Hello! I was born on April 19, 1993 in Granada, Spain. Although since I was 4 years old I live in Almeria.
I am currently at the University of Sheffield (United Kingdom) doing a 2-year postdoctoral stay. I am working in the Chemoinformatics Research Group, thanks to a Margarita Salas Grant from the University of Almería.

Letting Imagination Play
Giving checks since I was 11. And it all started because a class friend told me: "sign up for chess, you win prizes"; and with that illusion I started. In fact, he was my first teacher.
Today I hold the title of Candidate to Master. Perhaps one day I will consider achieving the title of FIDE Master if circumstances arise.
In these years I have been fortunate enough to win countless tournaments and players, winning more than 300 prizes. In reference to the first ones, I have won the Absolute Championship of Almeria 5 times and being on the podium from 2010 to 2019 with the exception of 2012. I have won several U2200 tournaments: Adra, Encrucijada entre dos reinos x2, Frigan. I was Subchampion of Andalusia in the last celebrated Espartinas Cup. I have won Nijar 2 times, the Feria de Almeria Open 2 times, many tournaments on the Tropical Coast highlighting 2 times the International Motril and 5 Camping Don Cactus, which allowed me in 2018 and 2019 to play the European Underwater Chess Championship.
My special tournament was the International of Huércal-Overa in its old version where I proclaimed Champion of Almería absolute with only 13 years and remaining over the ex-subchampion of the World Timman Jan.
I have beaten a multitude of professional players: the former world veteran champion rumanian GM Mihail Suba, ecuadorian GM Carlos Matamoros, british GM James Plaskett, russian GM Ruslan Pogorelov, argentinian GM Giacco Alfredo, spanish IM Antonio Gamundi, spanish IM Antonio Granero, spanish IM Marcos Camacho Collados, spanish FM Luis Fernández Siles, spanish FM Pedro Ferrer, argentinian GM Daniel Campora (draw), argentinian IM Luis María Campos, turkish IM Umut Atakisi (draw), spanish IM José Luis Gonzalez Trigal, spanish IM José Camacho Collados, spanish IM Paolo Ladrón de Guevera (draw), spanish FM Emilio Sánchez Jerez, spanish IM Alejandro Pérez García, spanish FM Francisco Orantes Taboadaand I could go on because every day I get a little better and every once in a while I score with someone new.
It is a sport that gives you a lot, especially on a personal level, and I would recommend to all those who haven't tried it yet.

Capturing Moments
I never understood the people who spent the day with their cameras. However, since I have my first camera I understand them perfectly.
It's also a hobby that fits me perfectly because it requires patience and tranquility (and a little luck) until you find the right one. the perfect photograph that captures the moment just the way you want it.
You have to go out, get to know new cultures and break stereotypes.
It all began with a trip to the beautiful Taormina in southern Italy. From then on I am ready to leave at any time as long as time and money allow.
For now Braga (Portugal), Taormina and Acireale (Italy), Leiden (Netherlands), Marrakech (Morocco), and a multitude of places in England.
I've always liked reading. I used to read before going to bed. Due to lack of time, I stopped reading after high school, but at the end of 2018 I decided to return to the habit.
In addition, I use it as an alternative to other activities to isolate myself from daily stress. It is a moment of tranquillity and relaxation, especially at night, when everything is calm.
I think I'm Millenian so video games have always been by my side. I rarely devote any time to it anymore, but we shouldn't forget childhood. The passing of the years has made me very competitive, so if I spend time in a game, you have to be able to see real progress and comparison with other players.
Listening to music in bed with ambient light is an incredible sensation. I listen to almost every kind of music from classical music to Heavy Metal through Pop, Reggaeton, Instrumental, etc. My favorite singer is Michael Jackson, not only because of the music but also because he knows how to create a show around a song.
Watch movies, of any kind, although if they are scary better watch them accompanied haha. I especially love action and science fiction: I'm a fan of Silvester Stallone.
